[TUTORIAL] How to install and configure GCAM on OpenSPA

Here is a tutorial on the installation and configuration of Gcam on the Vu+ decoder under a OpenSPA 7.2 image and GCAM.

For this tutorial you need.

Material:
Vu + ZERO, UNO, DUO, DUO 2, ULTIMO, SOLO, SOLO 2, SOLO SE, zero 4K, Uno 4k, solo 4k, Ultimo 4k

ALL Receivers supported with OpenSPA TEAM like octagon, gigablue….

Software:

Winscp

GCAM 1.8 for MIPS CPU (exemple VU+ ZERO, SOLO 2, SOLO SE, UNO, DUO2,DM 525, DM820,…)

GCAM 1.8 for ARM CPU (exemple Vu+ SOLO 4K, UNO 4K, ZERO 4k, DM900, DM920…)

GCAM subscription

If you do not have a Gcam subscription you can order it here

1- Copy of GCAM IPK file

– Launch WINSCP in the home window

File protocol: FTP

Hot name: 192.168.1.100 (ip address of your VU+ )

User name: root

Password: openspa

After clicking on Login

Copy ipk file to /tmp oo your receiver

1- Installing the GCAM

Press BLUE BUTTON and select Software management

Choose Install local extension and press OK

Slecect Memory /tmp

Select Install Extensions

Select IPK file with OK and press Green button to install

Please wait while installing GCAM softcam

2. Copy of the GCam subscription

Copy subscription files from your PC to the /etc/tuxbox/config path of your receiver.

gcam.server

3. Starting Gcam

Press MENU Button shoose spaPANEL

Next choose OpenSPA CAMD Manager

Choose GCAM, next press Green Button to start GCAM
