[HOW TO FLASH] how to flash Edision OS NINO

Flashing the Edision OS nino (Step-by-Step)

1. Prepare the USB Drive

  • Format: Use a USB 2.0 stick (FAT32). As with most Edision bootloaders, sticks smaller than 8GB are preferred to avoid detection issues.

  • The Folder Path: Extract the Enigma2 image ZIP. The root of your USB must contain a folder named osnino.

    • Path: USB_ROOT/osnino/

  • Verify Files: Inside the osnino folder, ensure you have:

    • kernel.bin

    • rootfs.bin

    • force (If the file is named noforce, rename it to force to automate the trigger).

2. The Flashing Procedure

  1. Power Off: Turn off the receiver using the physical power switch at the back.

  2. Insert USB: Plug the stick into the rear USB port.

  3. The Trigger:

    • Turn the power switch to ON.

    • If using force: The front LED will immediately begin flashing (usually alternating colors) to signal the update.

    • If using noforce: Watch the TV screen. When prompted, press the OK button on your Remote Control to confirm.

  4. Wait: The process takes about 2–4 minutes. Do not interrupt the power while the LED is pulsing.

  5. Finish: The receiver will reboot into the new image automatically. Remove the USB once the setup wizard appears.

The flashing process should take approximately two to four minutes to complete, while the receiver
is being flashed it is vitally important that you DO NOT power the receiver down for any reason as
this can cause serious and or permanent damage.
