[HOW TO FLASH] how to flash NOVALER Multibox 4K PRO

To flash the Novaler Multibox 4K PRO, the process is almost identical to the SE version, as it uses the same HiSilicon multiboot architecture. The “PRO” model often features upgraded hardware (like 2GB RAM), but the recovery method remains the standard USB-to-Menu sequence.
1. Preparation
-
USB Stick: A reliable 8GB or smaller USB stick formatted to FAT32.

_recovery.emmc.zipfor a total system reset. -

_mmc.zipfor multiboot slot updates (OpenATV, OpenPLi, etc.).
-

-
Extract the firmware zip file.
-
Copy the entire
novalerfolder to the root of your USB stick.-
Path:
USB:\novaler\multiboxpro\ -

usb_update.bin,boot.img, androotfs.tar.bz2inside themultiboxprosubfolder.
-
3. The Flashing Process (Recovery Menu)
-
Power Off: Turn off the receiver using the back power switch.
-
Insert USB: Use the side USB 3.0 port (blue).
-
Enter Recovery:
-
Press and hold the Power button on the front panel.
-
Flip the back power switch to ON.
-
Continue holding the front button until the “BOOT” display message appears or the Recovery Menu shows on your TV.
-
-
Select Flash: Use the remote to choose:
-
“Flash Recovery Image”: To completely overwrite the internal memory.
-
“USB Multiboot Image Upgrade”: To install an image into a specific slot (Slot 1–4).
-
-
Confirm: Select the file and press OK. The display will show “UPDT”, and the box will reboot automatically when the progress bar hits 100%.

The flashing process should take approximately two to four minutes to complete, while the receiver
is being flashed it is vitally important that you DO NOT power the receiver down for any reason as
this can cause serious and or permanent damage.
