[HOW TO FLASH] how to flash Technomate TM-Nano SE M2 PLUS

The Technomate TM-Nano SE M2 PLUS is a compact but powerful Broadcom-based Enigma2 receiver. It follows a very similar flashing logic to the rest of the Nano family, requiring a specific folder structure to initiate the update.
Preparation
-
USB Drive: Use a FAT32 formatted USB stick. This model is sensitive to USB hardware; an older USB 2.0 (8GB or smaller) drive is strongly recommended.
-
The Files: Extract your image zip file (e.g., OpenATV, OpenViX, or PurE2). You should see a folder named
technomateand a subfolder inside it namednanosem2plus. -
Root Path: Copy the
technomatefolder to the root of your USB drive.-
Structure:
USB Root > technomate > nanosem2plus > (files: kernel.bin, rootfs.bin, etc.)
-
Flashing Steps
-
Power Down: Turn off the receiver using the physical power switch at the back.
-
Insert USB: Plug the USB stick into the rear USB port (on the SE M2 PLUS, the rear port is often the most reliable for booting).
-
Power On: Flip the rear power switch to ON.
-
The Trigger: * Watch the front panel LED.
-
When the LED color changes or starts flashing (indicating an update is found), immediately press the Standby (Power) Button on the front panel of the receiver.
-
-
Flashing Process: The LED will typically pulse or flash slowly while the update is in progress. This takes about 3 to 5 minutes. Do not turn off the power during this process.
-
Completion: Once the process is finished, the receiver will reboot automatically.
-
Finalize: Remove the USB stick as soon as you see the boot logo on your TV to avoid any accidental re-flashing on the next restart.
Quick Troubleshooting
-
Box ignores the USB: Double-check that the subfolder is named exactly
nanosem2plus. If the folder is named incorrectly (e.g., justnanose), the bootloader will ignore it. -
LED doesn’t change: If the box boots straight to the old image, your USB stick may not be compatible with the bootloader. Try a different, older USB 2.0 drive.
-
The “Force” Shortcut: If the front button is hard to time, go into the
nanosem2plusfolder on your PC, find the file namednoforce, and rename it toforce. The receiver will then flash automatically upon power-up.
