[HOW TO FLASH] how to flash hitube 4k pro

To flash the HiTube 4K Pro, you will follow the modern HiSilicon (Hisil) recovery procedure. This receiver is very popular for multiboot, allowing you to run different images (like OpenATV, OpenHDF, or OpenPLi) from a single USB flash.
1. Preparation

USB Stick: A high-quality USB 2.0 or 3.0 stick. Format it to FAT32.

Firmware: Download the “Recovery” image or “Multiboot” zip for the HiTube 4K Pro.
2. Folder Structure
The bootloader identifies the update via the hitube directory.

Extract the firmware
.zipfile on your computer. -
You should see a folder named
hitube. -
Copy the entire
hitubefolder to the root of your USB stick.-

USB:\hitube\4kpro\ -
Contents: Inside the
4kprofolder, you should see files likeappcfg.bin,bootargs.bin,fastboot.bin, andimage.flash.

3. The Flashing Process

Power Off: Turn off the receiver using the power switch at the back.

Insert USB: Plug the USB stick into the side USB 3.0 port (usually blue).

Initiate Flash:

Press and hold the Standby/Power button on the front panel.

While holding the button, turn the back power switch to ON.

Recovery Menu:

Continue holding the button until the Recovery Menu appears on your TV screen.

Using the remote, select “Flash Recovery Image” (if you are doing a full reset) or “USB Multiboot Image Upgrade”.

Wait: The process will show a progress bar. Do not turn off the power.

Completion: The receiver will reboot into the new image once finished.

The flashing process should take approximately two to four minutes to complete, while the receiver
is being flashed it is vitally important that you DO NOT power the receiver down for any reason as
this can cause serious and or permanent damage.
