Flashing the Edision OS mini (Step-by-Step)

1. Prepare the USB Drive

• The Folder Path: Extract your Enigma2 image ZIP. The root directory of your USB stick must be:

  • USB_ROOT/osmini/

• Verify Files: Inside the osmini folder, you should see:

  • kernel.bin

  • rootfs.bin

  • imageversion

• The “Force” Hack: If you want the receiver to flash automatically without asking for confirmation, rename the noforce file to force.

2. The Flashing Procedure

1. Power Off: Turn off the receiver using the power switch at the back.

2. Insert USB: Plug the stick into the rear USB port.

3. The Trigger:

   • Turn the power switch to ON.

   • If using force: The front LED will start pulsing (usually Blue/Red) immediately.

   • If using noforce: Watch the front panel. When it displays “CONF” or the TV shows a prompt, press the OK button on your Remote Control.

4. Wait: The LED will pulse during the flash (about 3–5 minutes). Do not unplug it.

5. Finish: The receiver will reboot automatically. You can remove the USB once the setup wizard appears.

The flashing process should take approximately two to four minutes to complete, while the receiver
is being flashed it is vitally important that you DO NOT power the receiver down for any reason as
this can cause serious and or permanent damage.
