To flash the HiTube 4K Combo Plus, you will use the HiSilicon recovery method. This model is very similar to the “Pro” version but is a combo receiver (DVB-S2X + DVB-T2/C). It requires a specific folder name on a FAT32-formatted USB stick to be recognized by the bootloader.

The bootloader looks for the hitube directory on the root of the drive.
-
Extract the firmware
.zipfile on your computer. -
Ensure you have a folder named
hitube. -
Inside that folder, there should be a subfolder named
4kcomboplus. -
Copy the
hitubefolder to the root of your USB stick.-
Path:
USB:\hitube\4kcomboplus\ -
Contents: You should see files like
appcfg.bin,bootargs.bin,fastboot.bin, andimage.flash.
-

-
Select “Flash Recovery Image” or “USB Multiboot Image Upgrade” using your remote.
-
-
Wait: The process will take a few minutes. Do not interrupt the power.
-
Completion: The receiver will reboot automatically into the newly flashed image.

The flashing process should take approximately two to four minutes to complete, while the receiver
is being flashed it is vitally important that you DO NOT power the receiver down for any reason as
this can cause serious and or permanent damage.
