[TUTORIAL] How to install OScam on MERLIN4

Here is a tutorial on the installation and configuration of OSCAM on the DREAMBOX decoder under a MERLIN4 image and OSCAM

IMPORTANT: This tutorial is valid for all versions of MERLIN4.

For this tutorial you need.

Material:
Dreambox 900 UHD, Dreambox 920 UHD, DM520, DM525, DM820, DM7080

Software:

Winscp

OScam 11883 for DM520, DM525, DM820, DM7080, DM900, DM920

A OScam subscription

If you do not have a OScam subscription you can order it here

1- Installing the OScam plugin

– Launch WINSCP in the home window

File protocol: FTP

Hot name: 192.168.1.100 (ip address of your DREAMBOX )

User name: root

Password: “empty” by default the root password in MERLIN4 is empty (no password)

After clicking on Login

Select the DEB file and drag between the two windows to the /tmp folder.

MENU – SETUP

SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT

Install local extension

Internal flash

Install extension

Select DEB file and press GREEN button to start installation

Please wait while installing OSCAM softcam,

2. Copy of the OSCam subscription

Copy subscription files from your PC to the /etc path of your receiver.

oscam.server

oscam.conf

3. Starting OSCam

Press Blue button next choose SysCC

Choose the OScam softcam, press Green button to start it
