[HOW TO FLASH] how to flash IQON Force 1

To flash the standard IQON Force 1, you will follow the Broadcom bootloader procedure. This is the original model of the Force series, and while the process is straightforward, the bootloader is specific about the folder structure on your USB stick.
1. Preparation
-
USB Stick: A high-quality USB 2.0 stick is recommended. Use a capacity of 8GB or smaller formatted to FAT32 for the best compatibility with this older bootloader.
-
Firmware: Download the Enigma2 image specifically for the IQON Force 1 (OpenATV and OpenPLi are the most common).
2. Folder Structure
The receiver looks for the iqon directory and the specific force1 subfolder.
-
Extract the downloaded firmware
.zipfile on your computer. -
You should see a folder named
iqon. -
Copy the entire
iqonfolder to the root of your USB stick.-
Path:
USB:\iqon\force1\ -
Contents: Inside the subfolder, you should see files like
kernel.bin,rootfs.bin, andimageversion.
-
3. The Flashing Process
-
Power Off: Turn off the receiver using the power switch at the back.
-
Insert USB: Plug the USB stick into the rear USB port.
-
Power On: Turn the back power switch to ON.
-
Initiate Flash:
-
Watch the front panel VFD display.
-
When the receiver detects the USB files, it will display a message like “USB” or “Found Image”.
-
Quickly press the Power button on the front panel to confirm.
-
-
Wait: The display will show “FLSH” or progress indicators. Do not turn off the power during this time.
-
