[HOW TO FLASH] how to flash Mutant HD1265

To flash the Mut@nt HD1265, you return to a standard Enigma2 flashing procedure. This model is a compact, Full HD Broadcom-based receiver. Like the HD2400, it requires a specific folder structure and a manual confirmation to begin the flash.

1. Preparation

• USB Stick: Use a high-quality USB 2.0 or 3.0 stick (8GB or smaller is best).

• Format: Must be formatted to FAT32.

• Firmware: Download the image specifically for the HD1265 (e.g., OpenATV, OpenPLi).

2. Folder Structure

The bootloader identifies the image via the manufacturer’s folder name.

1. Extract the firmware .zip file.

2. Copy the entire mutant folder to the root of your USB stick.

   • Path: USB:\mutant\hd1265\

   • Contents: Inside, you should see files like kernel.bin, rootfs.bin, and imageversion.

3. The Flashing Process

1. Power Off: Turn off the receiver using the power switch at the back (or unplug the power lead).

2. Insert USB: Plug the USB stick into the rear USB port.

3. Power On: Turn the back power switch to ON.

4. Initiate Flash:

   • Watch the front panel LED or display.

   • When the front panel indicates the USB has been found (often by a flashing LED or a message), quickly press the Power button on the front panel to confirm.

5. Wait: The flashing process will start. Do not interrupt the power.

6. Completion: Once finished, the receiver will reboot automatically. You can then safely remove the USB stick.

The flashing process should take approximately two to four minutes to complete, while the receiver
is being flashed it is vitally important that you DO NOT power the receiver down for any reason as
this can cause serious and or permanent damage.
